LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University women's track & field senior
Teagan Schein-Becker (Trappe, PA/Perkiomen Valley) has been named MAAC Track Performer of the Week, the league office today announced. Schein-Becker finished 6th at the prestigious Penn Relays against a national class field in the 1500. She ran 4:18.32 to break her own Rider record again, is an ECAC qualifier, and represents the top time in the MAAC by six seconds. She also ran a huge leg on the record breaking 4x800m relay. The team ran 8:49.99 to break the Rider record by over 12 seconds and she ran an incredible 2:04.9 split. It was one of the fastest splits of the entire meet. It is an ECAC qualifier and also the top time in the MAAC by five seconds.
Schein-Becker has now earned the honor four times this outdoor season to go along with one honor in the cross country season.
The Broncs return to action this weekend, when they host MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Michael P. Brady Track Complex.
