LOUDONVILLE, NY – The Rider University men's tennis team was defeated, 7-0, by the Siena Saints Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 2-7 (0-1 MAAC), while the Saints improve to 13-6 (3-0 MAAC).
The Saints opened with a point after sweeping the doubles.
"We fought hard and made a really good match out of it. Effort and intensity definitely stepped up," said Rider Head Coach
Tom Battaglia. "They are pretty excited to move on from this and get to Niagara Saturday."
The Saints did not falter in the singles matches. They refused to drop a point to the Broncs and sealed their victory, 7-0.
The Broncs return to action Saturday, April 9
th when they take the long haul to play against the Niagara Purple Eagles in Niagara University, NY. Matches are set to begin at 11 a.m.
