- Rider begins MAAC Championship play as the No. 9 seed with a First Round contest against eighth-seeded Manhattan.
- The Broncs closed out the regular season with a 74-65 win over in-state rival Monmouth.
Mervin James led Rider with 23 points on 10-of-12 shooting.
- Rider is 15-23 all-time in the MAAC Tournament. This is the first time the Broncs are the No. 9 seed. Rider is 2-0 in the 8-9 game, winning in 2014 and 2016.
- Rider leads the all-time series with Manhattan, 34-26. The two teams split a pair of games this season, with each team winning on its home court. The Broncs defeated the Jaspers in Lawrenceville on Feb. 8, before falling in overtime in Riverdale on Feb. 20. Rider is 13-8 against Manhattan under Head Coach
Kevin Baggett, including a win in the 2017 First Round. Rider is 2-1 all-time in the MAAC Tournament against Manhattan.
- Manhattan features the MAAC's leader in scoring, Jose Perez, at 18.8 points per game to go along with 4.5 assists per game, which is second only to
Dwight Murray, Jr. (4.6 apg.). Ant Nelson also averages in double figures at 11.0 ppg., while Josh Roberts (8.8 ppg., 6.5 rpgl, .696 FG%) is another top contributor. Warren Williams (8.0 ppg.), Samir Stewart (7.8 ppg.) and Elijah Buchanan (7.6 ppg.), have also made strong contributions.

Already the only player in the top 15 in points, rebounds, blocks and steals, his 81st block on Feb. 13 put him in the top 10 in all four categories.

Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 159-151 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
