HAMDEN, CT – The Rider University women's basketball team fell in its regular season finale, 71-49, Saturday afternoon at Quinnipiac. The Broncs fall to 9-20 on the year and finish 7-13 in MAAC play. The Bobcats will enter Atlantic City at 19-10 overall and 14-6 in league play.

Jessika Schiffer (Iserlohn, Germany/Deutschhaus Gymnasium Würzburg[Univ. at Buffalo]) opened the game with a three-pointer, Quinnipiac went on a 19-2 run and never looked back. The Bobcats led 21-8 after one.
Trailing 25-11,
Emily Strunk (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) scored four-straight points, tying her career high. Leading 31-19, Quinnipiac closed out the half with five-straight points to take a 36-19 lead into the break.
Rider came out firing in the third, starting the quarter on a 10-3 run, getting the lead back into single digits. But the Bobcats held the Broncs without a field goal over the final 3:33 of the quarter and led 45-32 after three.
Leading 47-34, the Bobcats put the game out of reach with an 8-0 run that extended the lead over 20.

Amanda Mobley (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) had a pair of assists giving her 363 career assists, moving her past Ellen Keane '91 for fifth in program history.

Broncs By The Numbers
- Rider shot 30.6% (15-49) from the field, and was 29.2% (7-24) from three. Quinnipiac was 41.9% (26-62) from the field, and 31.3% (5-16) from deep.
- The Broncs had seven assists on their 15 made baskets, led by two each from Mobley, Ekerstedt, and Schiffer.
