FRANKLIN SPRING, GA –
Pablo Salar Carrera and Jamie de Jaraiz Garcia combined to win their doubles match, but the Rider University men's tennis team fell at Emmanuel College, 6-0, Tuesday. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 1-3, while the Lions improve to 3-8.
The Lions took five of six singles, with the first singles match going unfinished. Salar Carrera and de Jaraiz Garcia won their doubles match but Emmanuel took the remaining two doubles to clean sweep their victory over the Broncs.
"Our men played some great doubles today," said Rider Head Coach
Tom Battaglia. "They are more confident every time they step on the court. Our singles scores weren't indicative of the effort given. Need to clean up a few things at practice tomorrow, but we will be ready for Friday."
The Broncs return to action Friday, March 18
