PHILADELPHIA, PA –
David Szuba earned his second fall in a row in 1:02, but the Rider University wrestling team fell at the Drexel Dragons, 23-17, Friday night in the Daskalakis Athletic Center. The Broncs fall to 4-9, while the Dragons improve to 6-8.
Drexel came out hot at 149, earning a commanding lead in the first five matches on the mat to build an impressive 17-point lead over the Broncs. Coming out of the intermission,
Matt Correnti was able to curb the Dragon offensive, picking up the first points for the Broncs.
David Szuba followed Correnti's lead, earning another six team-points after earning a fall in 1:02. Unfortunately for the Broncs, Drexel answered back with a fall of their own at 125 to secure the win. Though thanks to a technical fall by #25
Quinn Kinner, the Broncs came close to Drexel's lead.
