What You Need To Know
- All matches during the MAAC Volleyball Tournament will be streamed on ESPN+.
- The Broncs earned the seven seed in the MAAC tournament, the first time the Broncs have ever earned the seven seed.
- Romano was named to First-Team All-MAAC honors by the league last season. Romano was also named to the preseason All-MAAC team.
- With another All-Conference honor, Romano would become the first player in program history to earn four All-MAAC honors during her career.
- Romano now has 1,548 career kills, good for second in program history after passing Jaclyn Levi '05 in Rider's last match at Quinnipiac.
- In the Broncs' first tournament of the season, the dōTERRA Classic, freshman
Carley McAleavey (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown West) earned All-Tournament honors after racking up 15 kills on .250 hitting over the three matches.
- McAleavey ranks third among all players in the MAAC with a .304 hitting percentage.
- At the Steel Classic Tournament,
Pamela Loh (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Hendrick Hudson) and
Brynn Johnson (River Falls, WI/River Falls) earned All-Tournament Team honors. Johnson had 16 kills on .200 hitting across the three matches to go along with five blocks. Loh had 32 digs in the three matches, led by a 16 dig effort in Rider's win over Cleveland State.
- Loh now has 925 career digs. She is attempting to become just the 16
th Bronc in program history to reach 1,000 for her career.
- In the Dig for the District Tournament,
Nicole Wilkinson (New Castle, IN/New Castle) and Slivka earned All-Tournament honors. Wilkinson exploded with 11 kills and five blocks against George Washington, both career-highs. She finished the weekend with 17 kills on .297 hitting. Slivka had 69 assists and 24 digs in the three matches during the tournament. In Rider's win over Georgetown, Slivka had her third double-double of the season with 31 assists and 13 digs, while also adding five aces.
- The Broncs are 9-17 all-time in the MAAC Tournament, but the Broncs are 7-3 in the tournament since the start of the 2018 season.
- Manhattan leads the all-time series 30-21, but the Broncs have won 13 of the last 14, including a sweep this season.
- The Jaspers finished 1-27 this season, with a 1-17 conference mark. Julia Menocal led the squad with 295 kills on the season.
- The winner of Wednesday's opening round match will face second-seeded Marist in the quarterfinals.
