Quotes & Notes
"This is the first game we saw our resilience really show up. We saw what we can become. We weren't perfect by any stretch, but when you get down the way we got down, and fight back on the road, it's a testament to that resilience. An overtime road win is tough to get, so I'm really proud of our effort today."
"We've work really hard in practice, just trying to tighten up some of our philosophies and tighten up our why and how we want thing done. We made some mistakes today, but we bounced back."
"We designed the play for a three, but if they switched out, we knew the slip would be there. That's what Mick does best, and Mick made a great read. She missed the shot in regulation to win it, and I took my chances that it wouldn't happen again."
– Head Coach Lynn Milligan
"The play was just designed for me to get a look. Raphie set me a great screen to come off of and I had a little bit of space and knew I could get the shot off."
"We've been harping all week in practice, 'Don't give up'. There's going to be times when things don't go our way, but the five of us on the court need to come together and control the game."
– Junior Guard Makalya Firebaugh
"We just moved the ball well, and it fell in my hands at that specific time. It was all just a team effort."
"It was a very important defensive stop. We dug deep and got it done. We needed this win because it's a much better feeling to go over to Ireland and have fun and play more loose."
