What You Need To Know
- Rider returns to action following nearly three weeks off and more than a month between games against Division I opponents. The next DI opponent will be the same as the last as the Broncs travel to Marist, which defeated Rider on Dec. 5.
- The Broncs' last game came against Division III Gwynedd Mercy, following the cancellation of their scheduled Dec. 18 game at Rutgers. A Covid pause followed for Rider, knocking out Jan. 2 (at Quinnipiac) and Jan. 7 (Manhattan) contests.
- Rider defeated Gwynedd Mercy on Dec. 20.
Allen Powell led the way with 22 points, including six three-point field goals.
- Prior to the Dec. 20 contest, Rider had played 11 games in 27 days across six states in two countries and two time zones to open the season, Nov. 9-Dec. 5. The stretch runs to 12 games in 30 days when including a Nov. 6 exhibition game.

- The Broncs hold a 39-26 lead over Marist in the all-time series. However, after the Broncs extended to a nine-game winning streak last Jan. 22, the Red Foxes snapped the streak the next night and pushed it to two-straight with a Dec. 5 win in Lawrenceville. 10th-year Rider Head Coach
Kevin Baggett's teams are 15-4 against Marist in his tenure.
- Ricardo Wright paces the Red Foxes at 14.2 points per game, while Jao Ituka has added 13.1 points per game. Ituka, along with Raheim Sullivan (9.6 ppg.) and reserves Victor Enoh and Tyler Saint-Furcy missed Friday's game at Fairfield due to COVID-19 protocols. Their status for Sunday's game is unclear. Samkelo Cele (10.1 ppg.) also averages in double figures scoring, while Jordan Jones (6.5 ppg.) is the Red Foxes' next-highest-scoring player after Sullivan.
