Box Score LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University women's basketball team suffered a fourth-straight loss Saturday night, falling to Iona 63-40. The Broncs drop to 5-14 on the season and 3-7 in the MAAC, while the Gales move to 5-10 overall and an equal 3-7 in league play.
Both offenses started slow with the Gaels taking a 12-5 lead after one with a balanced attack seeing six different player record points.
Raphaela Toussaint (Kingston, Ontario/Lincoln Prep) scored all five points for the Broncs in the opening frame.
Iona took control early in the second, opening the quarter on a 10-2 run. The Gaels led 27-12 at the half.
The Broncs found some rhythm offensively in the third scoring 15 points on 50% shooting from the field, but Iona also found the scoring touch, extending the lead to 44-27 after three.
Iona extended its lead to as large as 26 in the fourth, before closing out the victory.

- Toussaint was the lone Bronc in double figures with 13, she also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
- Rider out-rebounded the Gaels 39-35, including a 14-7 edge on the offensive glass.
