Broncs look to bounce back from tough overtime loss Friday

What You Need To Know
- Rider wraps up a two-game weekend homestand Sunday, when it welcomes Saint Peter's to Alumni Gym on ESPN3.
- The Seeing Eye Puppies will take in the game and welcome fans in the lobby pregame.
- The Broncs trailed for less than five of 45 minutes vs. Quinnipiac Friday, but fell 77-70 in overtime. Mervin James and Allen Powell had 17 points apiece for Rider, while Dimencio Vaughn added his third double-double of the year.
- The Broncs hold a 39-33 lead over Saint Peter's in the all-time series. The two teams split the regular-season series last year, before the Peacocks defeated Rider, 75-60, in the MAAC Quarterfinals. The Broncs have won the last three meetings in Lawrenceville - one win each in 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20.  
- Daryl Banks III leads Saint Peter's at 12.4 points per game, shooting 38.1 percent (16-42) from long range. He's also nearly automatic at the free-throw line, shooting 90.9 percent (30-33). Doug Edert (9.8 ppg.) shares a similar scorer's profile, shooting 35.1 percent from long range and 87.5 percent from the line. Fousseyni Drame (8.8 ppg., 7.7 rpg.) is the Peacocks' top rebounder, while Preseason MAAC Player of the Year KC Ndefo (8.7 ppg., 5.2 rpg.) is the top shot blocker in the MAAC at 2.5 rejections per game.
- The Peacocks returned to the court following a 27-day layoff Friday and earned a 67-62 win over Monmouth in Jersey City.
- Rider shot a season-high 57.1 percent (28-49) Jan. 9 at Marist, including 64.3 percent (9-14) from long range. For his 14-point, 11-assist effort, Dwight Murray, Jr. was named MAAC Player of the Week.
- Dwight Murray, Jr. and Dimencio Vaughn were named to the Preseason All-MAAC First and Second Teams, respectively.
- The Broncs were picked fifth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- 10th-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 152-142 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
- Only John Carpenter (292) and Thomas Leyden (187) have more wins at Rider than Baggett.
