LEWISBURG, PA –
Chloe Fisher (Warrington, England/Cronton Sixth Form College) led the Broncs with five shots, three of which were on goal, but the Rider University women's soccer team fell Sunday afternoon at Emmitt Field in Holmes Stadium to Bucknell. With the loss, the Broncs fall to 2-3-1, while the Bison improve to 3-4-1.
Bucknell struck first with a goal in the 17
th minute from Paige Temple who beat Rider goalkeeper
Ellie Sciancalepore (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) by mere inches beyond her reach. The Bison maintained the 1-0 at the half.
Rider evened the score in the 55
th minute after the ball bounced off a Bucknell defender for an own goal. But the tie wouldn't hold, Bucknell scored in the 78
th minute after Kelley Francis put a rebounded shot into the back of the net. The Bison struck again in the 84
th minute from Rylee Donaldson, who beat defenders to bring the lead to two, 3-1.
