UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – The Rider University field hockey team fell to nationally-ranked No. 7 Connecticut, 5-0, in the NCAA Tournament First Round Friday afternoon at the Penn State Field Hockey Complex. With the loss, the Broncs conclude their season at 6-2, while the Huskies improve to 12-1.
The Huskies scored once each in the first, second and third quarters to take a 3-0 lead before scoring twice in the game's final four minutes to account for the 5-0 final score.
