OMAHA, NE – The Rider University volleyball team fell to UCLA, 3-0, Wednesday night in the NCAA Tournament First Round at CHI Health Center Omaha Convention Center. The Bruins won the three sets, 25-12, 25-8 and 25-8. With the loss, the Broncs' season ends at 7-5, while the Bruins improve to 15-6 and move on to face 16
th-seeded Brigham Young University in the Second Round.
Ali Ward (West Chester, PA/West Chester East),
Morgan Romano (Oviedo, FL/Hagerty) and
Caprice Clarke (Toronto, Ontario/Blythe Academy (Yorkville)) led the Broncs with four kills apiece, while
Danielle Blanco (El Paso, TX/Franklin) had six digs.
Anilee Sher (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill) dished out 13 assists.
