What You Need To Know
- Rider continues MAAC Championship play in Thursday's Quarterfinals at 5 p.m. on ESPN+ against third-seeded Saint Peter's.
- The Broncs came back to defeat Canisius in the opening round on the strength of 22 points from
Dwight Murray, Jr., 19 from
Allen Powell and a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds from
Dontrell McQuarter. Rider led for just 2:20 of game time to the Griffs' 32:20.
- RU leads the all-time series with Saint Peter's, 39-32. The Broncs and Peacocks split the regular-season series, with each team taking a double-digit victory.
- Rider has faced Saint Peter's at MAAC Championships more than any other team and is 3-5 all-time against the Peacocks. Five of the meetings have come in the quarterfinals, with Saint Peter's taking a 3-2 advantage in those games. Most recently, the Peacocks defeated the top-seeded Broncs in the 2018 MAAC Championship Quarterfinals.
- All-MAAC First Teamer KC Ndefo leads Saint Peter's at 13.6 points per game to go along with 6.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 50 percent from the floor. Daryl Banks III also averages in double figures at 10.8 ppg. while shooting a team-best 36.6 percent from long range.
