Men's Basketball Returns Home to Face Marist Sunday

What You Need To Know
- Rider returns home for the first time in three weeks to face Marist following seven-straight games away from home. 
- The Broncs were defeated by Iona Friday in their MAAC opener.
- Dwight Murray, Jr. eclipsed 1,000 career points in the setback at Iona.
- The Broncs hold a 39-25 lead over Marist in the all-time series. The two teams split last season, with the Broncs extending to a nine-game winning streak on Jan. 22, before the Red Foxes snapped it the next night. 10th-year Rider Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams are 15-3 against Marist in his tenure.
- Ricardo Wright paces the Red Foxes at 13.3 points per game, while Raheim Sullivan has added 12.8 points per game to go along with a team-best 1.5 steals per contest. Jao Ituka (9.7 ppg.), Samkelo Cele (8.7 ppg.), Noah Harris (7.8 ppg.) and Jordan Jones (7.3 ppg.) have also made considerable scoring contributions, while Matt Herasme (6.0 ppg., 6.0 rpg.) is the Red Foxes' top rebounder to date.
- Mervin James was named to the Cancun Challenge All-Tournament Team after scoring 23 points against Bucknell. Dwight Murray, Jr. also added a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds to go along with six assists in the win. 
- A Preseason All-MAAC First Team honoree, Murray scored in double figures in each of the Broncs' first eight games before a nine-point output at Ole Miss. 
- Dwight Murray, Jr. and Dimencio Vaughn were named to the Preseason All-MAAC First and Second Teams, respectively. 
- The Broncs were picked fifth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. 
- 10th-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 150-140 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
- Only John Carpenter (292) and Thomas Leyden (187) have more wins at Rider than Baggett.
