What You Need To Know
- Rider returns to action for its sixth-straight game away from home following road games at Bucknell and Buffalo, two games at the Cancun Challenge and another true road game at South Carolina.
- The Broncs pushed South Carolina, leading the Gamecocks for most of the first 28 minutes, before falling, 65-58.
- Dwight Murray, Jr. stands just 12 points shy of 1,000 for his collegiate career.
- Rider has never met Ole Miss on the hardwood.
- Tuesday's game marks Dimencio Vaughn's return to Oxford. Vaughn played four seasons at Rider before leaving for Ole Miss as a grad transfer in 2020-21. He then returned to Rider for his final year of eligibility this year.
- Jarkel Joiner leads Ole Miss at 15.0 points per game, while Jaemyn Brakefield also averages in double figures (10.2 ppg.). - Dwight Murray, Jr. and Dimencio Vaughn were named to the Preseason All-MAAC First and Second Teams, respectively.
- The Broncs were picked fifth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- 10th-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 150-138 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
- Only John Carpenter (292) and Thomas Leyden (187) have more wins at Rider than Baggett.
