- Rider returns to action for its fifth-straight game away from home following road games at Bucknell and Buffalo and two games at the Cancun Challenge.
- The Broncs snapped a three-game losing skid with a wild 85-79 win over Bucknell in the Cancun Challenge Mayan Division Consolation Game Wednesday.

Mervin James was named to the Cancun Challenge All-Tournament Team after scoring 23 points against Bucknell.
Dwight Murray, Jr. also added a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds to go along with six assists in the win.
- Rider had five scorers in double figures in the win over Bucknell for the first time since Feb. 28, 2020.
- A Preseason All-MAAC First Team honoree, Murray has scored in double figures in all seven games this season for the Broncs.
- Rider has met the Gamecocks twice all-time on the hardwood, both in Columbia - a win in the 1982-83 season and a loss in 2012-13.
- Erik Stevenson leads the Gamecocks at 14.0 points and 1.6 steals per game, while also adding 5.2 rebounds per game. Jermaine Couisnard is close behind at 13.6 ppg., while James Reese V (11.4 ppg.) and Wildens Leveque (10.6 ppg.) also average in double figures. Leveque also leads South Carolina at 7.6 rebounds per game.
