What You Need To Know
- Rider takes on Bucknell Wednesday in the Cancun Challenge Mayan Division Consolation Game on FloHoops.
- The Broncs have lost three-straight, on the road at Bucknell and Buffalo and on a neutral court against Middle Tennessee.  
- Dwight Murray, Jr. went for a career-high 30 points to go along with 13 rebounds at Bucknell, while Corey McKeithan scored a season-high 13 points to lead the Broncs at Buffalo. Murray and Dimencio Vaughn contributed 13 points and seven rebounds apiece against MTSU.
- Rider is playing in the Cancun Challenge for the third time (2009-10, 2015-16) and in Mexico for the fourth (2012 Hoops for Hope Classic, Puerto Vallarta).
- Andrew Funk leads Bucknell at 21.2 points per game. The next-closest scorer is Xander Rice at 13.4 ppg. to go along with 4.8 assists per game. Andre Screen has chipped in with 11.3 ppg. and a team-high 7.8 rebounds per game. Alex Timmerman narrowly misses double-figures at 9.8 ppg. and has grabbed 6.0 rpg. Elvin Edmonds IV has also contributed 8.4 ppg.
- Bucknell took an 81-74 win this past Wednesday in Lewisburg. Rice led the Bison with 23 points, while Screen added 20 points and eight rebounds. The Broncs limited Funk to six points on 2-of-8 shooting. The Bison lead the all-time series, 31-25. The two teams were Middle Atlantic Conference and East Coast Conference foes from the mid-1960's into the early 1990's.
- Dwight Murray, Jr. and Dimencio Vaughn were named to the Preseason All-MAAC First and Second Teams, respectively.
- The Broncs were picked fifth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- 10th-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 149-137 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
- Only John Carpenter (292) and Thomas Leyden (187) have more wins at Rider than Baggett.
