What You Need To Know
- Rider travels to Buffalo Saturday on ESPN3. The game is a campus site contest to open the Cancun Challenge.
- The Broncs fell last time out at Bucknell, 81-74, on Wednesday.
Dwight Murray, Jr. went for a career-high 30 points to go along with 13 rebounds.
- Rider attempted 83 field goals in the loss at Bucknell, the Broncs' most since a double-overtime loss in the 2009 MAAC Quarterfinals.
- Prior to the loss at Bucknell, the RU had won two straight at home against Coppin State and Delaware State. Rider opened the season with a loss at Duquesne.
- Rider and Buffalo are meeting for the fourth time, but the first time since a home-and-home series that Rider swept in 1991-92, when both teams were East Coast Conference foes. The Bulls took the first meeting on Dec. 16, 1958.
- Buffalo is 1-1 with a loss at nationally-ranked No. 4 Michigan and a win at North Texas.
- The Bulls are the Preseason MAC favorites, taking 11 of 12 first-place votes from the league's coaches. Buffalo fell in the 2021 MAC Championship Game and qualified for the NIT.
