LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ –The Rider University women's soccer team fell on Senior Day to Quinnipiac, 4-0, on Ben Cohen Field Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Broncs slip to 5-8-2 (3-5-1 MAAC), while the Bobcats rise to 11-5-0 (6-4-0 MAAC).
Quinnipiac would start their offense early, gaining momentum off a penalty kick goal in the 27
th minute, earned by Selena Salas. The Quinnipiac defense would hold the Rider offense off to maintain the lead going into the half, 1-0.
In the second half, Quinnipiac would continue to apply pressure on the Broncs. Olivia Kudrikow scored in the 63
rd minute to push the lead to 2-0. Quinnipiac would strike again in the 68
th minute, with Markela Bejleri finishing a pass from Anna Costello to widen the gap. The final Quinnipiac goal would come in the 86
th minute as Taylor Dowdell sealed the Bobcats' victory after a Courtney Chochol pass.
