BETHLEHEM, PA – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team won a second-straight dual-meet to open the 2021-22 season, defeating Lehigh 150-138 Pool Saturday evening. The Mountain Hawks fall to 1-2 on the season with the loss.
The Bronc men won nine events in the meet.
Kyle Iorizzo (Norwood, NJ/Old Tappan Regional) got the first Bronc victory of the day in the 1,000-free, finishing in 9:48.26, 13 seconds ahead of the field.
Lucas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross) continued his strong start to the season in the 200-free, winning in a time of 1:42.23 and the 200-IM in 1:54.42.
David Cooper (Spring, TX/Klein Oak) won the 100-breast with a winning time of 57.89 and completed the sweep of the breast events with a winning swim of 2:07.04 in the 200.
Christian Overton and
David Rucci (Sewell, NJ/Gateway Regional) swam one-two in the 200-back with times of 1:52.94 and 1:54.00.
Nicholas Lane (Hackettstown, NJ/Lane Academy) swam 51.87 to win the 100-fly.
In the diving competition,
Sean Binning (Annandale, VA/W.T. Woodson) won the 3-meter with a score of 253.20 and
Marcas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross) won the 1-meter with a score of 246.52
