LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Freshman
Raphaela Toussaint (Kingston, Ontario/Lincoln Prep) and sophomore
Victoria Toomey (Dunmore, PA/Dunmore) each recorded double-doubles to lead the Rider University women's basketball team past hOURglass rival Saint Peter's, 65-62, on Saturday afternoon in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play inside Alumni Gymnasium.
The Broncs (2-12, 1-8 MAAC) erased a 10-point, fourth-quarter deficit to hand the Peacocks (5-9, 4-5 MAAC) their sixth straight loss.
Trailing by 10 at 53-43 entering the final quarter, Rider closed the contest on an 18-4 run over the final seven minutes of action to earn its first conference victory of the season.
Following an SPU bucket early in the frame, junior point guard
