Men's Basketball Plays Host to Siena This Weekend

What You Need To Know
- Rider continues league play this weekend, when it plays host to Siena.
- RU is coming off consecutive weekend road splits at Fairfield and Niagara.
- Dwight Murray, Jr. has been an all-around bright spot so far this season, averaging 14.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 steals per game, including a near triple-double of 20 points, a career-high 15 rebounds and seven assists in a win at Manhattan on Dec. 11.
- Ajiri Ogemuno-Johnson posted his first-career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds on Jan. 9 at Niagara, a day after going for a career-high 19 points against the Purple Eagles.
- Siena leads the all-time series with the Broncs, 34-18. Though the Broncs are 6-9 against Siena in Kevin Baggett's tenure, Baggett's Broncs are 5-3 in Lawrenceville against the Saints.
- 2019-20 MAAC Regular Season Champion and 2020-21 Preseason favorite Siena is 4-0 on its young season that began on Jan. 3. The Saints have swept Monmouth and Fairfield. Reigning MAAC Player of the Year Jalen Pickett leads Siena at 17.7 points to along with 9.7 rebounds per game, while All-MAAC First Teamer Manny Camper has averaged 13.0 ppg. and a team-best 9.8 rpg., 5.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game. In two games, Aidan Carpenter has added 13.0 ppg., while Jordan King (10.8 ppg.) and Jackson Stormo (10.3 ppg.) also average in double figures. Kyle Young (9.8 ppg.) and Nick Hopkins (9.0 ppg.) have also made strong contributions. 
- Dontrell McQuarter erupted for 20 points and eight rebounds on Dec. 19 against Iona. He made 7-of-13 field-goal attempts.
- Ninth-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 144-124 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
- Only John Carpenter (292) and Thomas Leyden (187) have more wins at Rider than Baggett.
