JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Rider University women's basketball team fell on the road to hOURglass rival Saint Peter's, 67-56, on Thursday evening in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action at the Yanitelli Center.

The Broncs (17-3, 10-1 MAAC) see their program-record 14-game winning streak come to an end, while the Peacocks (6-14, 3-8 MAAC) snapped a two-game skid with the victory. Â

Rider never led in the contest as the Broncs shot just 15 percent (2-of-13) in the opening quarter. Foul trouble hurt the guests early as Rider had three players pick up two fouls each in the early minutes.

The Peacocks erupted for 19 points in the second frame to take a 32-20 lead into halftime. In the second half it stayed a two to three-possession game throughout.

Saint Peter's hit 14-of-18 free throws during the fourth quarter to hold on for the win.

Stella Johnson (Denville, NJ/Morris Catholic) paced the Rider offensive attack with a game-high 22 points to go along with 10 rebounds.
Lea Favre (Vevey, Switzerland/Lycee Jeanne D'Arc) was the other Bronc in double figures with 17 points.

Stella Johnson scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. It was her sixth double-double of the season. All six have come in MAAC play. She also added four assists and two steals.

Lea Favre hit 7-of-15 from the field. She grabbed five boards and recorded one steal. Favre has scored in double figures in 14 of her last 15 appearances.

Amanda Mobley had nine points, nine rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal. Her three blocks were a career-high as were her nine rebounds. Â
