- Rider snapped a two-game skid with a 79-67 win over Monmouth Friday.
- Fairfield has lost two-straight - a three-point loss to league-leading Siena and on a buzzer beater Friday against Quinnipiac.
- Fairfield leads the all-time series with Rider, 34-32. The Broncs have won the last four meetings. The last time Rider played Fairfield at Alumni Hall, the Broncs led just twice - 2-0 and the 83-82 final score. Tyere Marshall scored the go-ahead bucket with 5.9 seconds remaining.
- Landon Taliaferro leads the Stags at 11.7 points per game and shoots 92.5 percent from the free-throw line. Jesus Cruz (11.1 ppg.) and Taj Benning (10.3 ppg.) also average in double figures, while Vincent Eze has chipped in 7.9 ppg. and a team-leading 5.7 rebounds per game.
- Tyere Marshall posted his team-leading sixth double-double of the year with 21 points and 15 rebounds against Monmouth. Dimencio Vaughn also added his fifth double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds to go with four steals.
- Rider is the MAAC's most veteran squad, with its most-experienced combination of players accounting for 527 games played and 386 games started. Monmouth is second at 525 games played and 324 starts.
