LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – A total of seven Rider University wrestlers are ranked in the latest rankings released by the NCAA. Four Broncs appear in the NCAA Coaches Panel Rankings, while six are ranked in the Ratings Percentage Index (RPI).
Jesse Dellavecchia (Great River, NY/East Islip),
Ethan Laird (Waterford, PA/General McLane) and
Dean Sherry (Brick, NJ/Brick Township) are ranked by both metrics, while
Peter Lipari (Byram Township, NJ/Bergen Catholic [Rutgers]) is ranked in the Coaches Panel Rankings.
Jonathan Tropea (Harrington Park, NJ/Saint Joseph (Montvale)),
George Walton (Franklin, NJ/Bound Brook) and
Richie Koehler (Middletown, NJ/Christian Brothers Academy) each appear in the RPI.
Dellavecchia (157) takes the No. 6 spot in the Coaches Panel Rankings and No. 7 in the RPI, while Laird (197) is ranked 12
th and 13
th, respectively. The Coaches Panel ranks Sherry (174) 20
th, while he's slotted at 13
th in the RPI.
Lipari (141) is ranked 29
th in the Coaches Panel Rankings, while the RPI ranks Tropea (125) and Walton (184) 30
th and Koehler (133) 33
rd.
