Rider Wrestling Announces 2025-26 Schedule

11 home matches, three against Big Ten opponents this season

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Rider University wrestling team has unveiled its 2025-26 competition schedule, featuring 11 home dates, three of four Big Ten opponents at home, and six Power 4 matchups. Highlighting the docket will be a Jan. 31 home date with intrastate foe Rutgers.

Ticket information will be released on Thursday, Sept. 25, on GoBroncs.com. The Rutgers match will be a special ticket, separate from full season ticket packages.

"This year's schedule will challenge us once again which will get our guys prepared to complete at the NCAA's," said Rider Head Coach John Hangey. "We also have an extensive home dual schedule highlighted by Michigan State, Oklahoma, Purdue, Princeton and Rutgers."

The season opens Nov. 2 at the Princeton Open, before the Broncs travel to Illinois for their dual meet debut on Nov. 8. Rider's home slate begins Nov. 16 when Michigan State visits Alumni Gym.

From there, the Broncs hit the road at West Virginia (Nov. 23) and compete in the prestigious Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas (Dec. 5–6). Rider then closes out 2025 with a home dual against Oklahoma (Dec. 14) and a Dec. 21 tri-match, hosting Clarion and Columbia.

The new year kicks off with Purdue in town on Jan. 2, followed by the start of MAC competition against Kent State on Jan. 8. A Jan. 18 trip to Campbell will also feature a dual against The Citadel.

Rider returns home for back-to-back matches with Edinboro (Jan. 24) and Princeton (Jan. 25) before visiting George Mason on Jan. 30. A three-match homestand follows, highlighted by a Big Ten showdown with Rutgers on Jan. 31.

The Broncs wrap up the regular season on the road, traveling to Drexel and LIU on Feb. 14, before closing with Penn on Feb. 19.

Rider's postseason begins with the MAC Championships at Buffalo (Mar. 6–7), followed by the NCAA Championships in Cleveland, OH (Mar. 19–21).
