- Manhattan has yet to play a game this season because of a positive COVID-19 test announced on Nov. 23. The Jaspers were picked fifth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches Poll and junior forward Warren Williams was selected to the Preseason All-MAAC Second Team after averaging 8.3 ppg. and shooting 57.3 percent from the floor last year. Hit hard by transfers of Pauly Paulicap (DePaul), Tykei Greene (Stony Brook) and Christian Hinckson (Binghamton), the Jaspers return guards Samir Stewart (8.4 ppg.), Elijah Buchanan (7.4 ppg.) and Nehemiah Mack (3.8 ppg.), while going to the transfer well themselves with Anthony Nelson (Seton Hall) and Jason Douglas-Stanley (George Mason).
- Rider returned just four letterwinners from last year's team that finished 18-12 and was the No. 3 seed in the MAAC Tournament before it was cancelled.
- The Broncs are tasked with replacing 87.6% of its scoring from a year ago, second most in the nation behind only Kentucky (94.0%).
- Ninth-year Head Coach
Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 141-118 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
- Only John Carpenter (292) and Thomas Leyden (187) have more wins at Rider than Baggett.
