- Dwight Murray, Jr. highlighted the Broncs' season opener with 20 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals in his Rider debut.
- Christian Ings (9), Allen Powell (8) and Rodney Henderson (8) also made strong scoring contributions, while Ajiri Ogemuno-Johnson grabbed a career-high eight rebounds.
- St. John's leads the all-time series with the Broncs, 11-0. However, the two teams have met just once since the 1950-51 season, a 79-69 Red Storm victory in the ECAC Festival at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 29, 1995.
- St. John's is 4-1 so far this season with wins over Saint Peter's, La Salle, Boston College and Stony Brook, while its only loss came to BYU. Moore's 6.4 rebounds per game are a team-high, just ahead of Champagnie's 6.0 rpg. Alexander has dished out 4.4 assists per game.
- Rider returned just four letterwinners from last year's team that finished 18-12 and was the No. 3 seed in the MAAC Tournament before it was cancelled.
- The Broncs are tasked with replacing 87.6% of its scoring from a year ago, second most in the nation behind only Kentucky (94.0%).

- Ninth-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 141-117 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
- Only John Carpenter (292) and Thomas Leyden (187) have more wins at Rider than Baggett.
- 107.7 The Bronc will broadcast the game live, with Tom Trimarco and Demara Barnes on the call.
