What You Need To Know
- Rider plays host to Coppin State Tuesday night in its final scheduled non-conference game of the season.

Dwight Murray, Jr. has been an all-around bright spot so far this season, averaging 13.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.0 steals per game, including a near triple-double of 20 points, a career-high 15 rebounds and seven assists in a win at Manhattan on Dec. 11.

Dontrell McQuarter erupted for 20 points and eight rebounds on Dec. 19 against Iona. He made 7-of-13 field-goal attempts.

Jordan Smalls scored 9 points in 10 minutes in his collegiate debut vs. NJIT.
- Rider has won all three meetings in the all-time series with Coppin State. The two teams first met on Dec. 21, 2002, a 62-59 Rider win in Lawrenceville. More recently, the Broncs have taken wins in each of the last two seasons, in Lawrenceville in 2018-19 and in Baltimore to open last season.
- CSU is 1-8 so far this season, with the lone win coming at home against UNC Greensboro. Its losses have come in a stacked schedule against Duke, George Washington, Drexel, Georgetown, UMBC, Virginia Tech, Iona and Towson. Anthony Tarke has led the way with 16.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 2.3 assists per game. DeJuan Clayton has also averaged in double figures (13.7 ppg.), but has missed the last six games. Koby Thomas has also contributed 12.1 ppg. and 6.3 rpg. this season. Another familiar name on the roster is Justin Steers, who briefly transferred to Rider last season before recommitting to Coppin State.
- Rider returned just four letterwinners from last year's team that finished 18-12 and was the No. 3 seed in the MAAC Tournament before it was cancelled.
- The Broncs are tasked with replacing 87.6% of its scoring from a year ago, second most in the nation behind only Kentucky (94.0%).

Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 142-122 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
