- Rider has fallen in its first eight games this season at Villanova, Delaware State and Iona (twice) and at home against Drexel, Army West Point and Manhattan (twice).
- Rider was awarded the MAAC Tournament trophy after earning the top seed in the MAAC Basketball Championships for the first time in program history last season. The Broncs set new program records in overall (26) and league (18) wins.
- Rider graduated six seniors, including Honorable Mention All-American and recent WNBA rookie

- Rider's top returner is junior point guard
Amanda Mobley (8.9 ppg.), a Preseason All-MAAC Second Team pick. She scored in double figures four times this year, but missed most of this past weekend's series with Iona due to injury.
- Rider owns a 3-1 lead in the series with NJIT, including two-straight wins.
