What You Need To Know
- Rider was awarded the MAAC Tournament trophy after earning the top seed in the MAAC Basketball Championships for the first time in program history last season. The Broncs set new program records in overall (26) and league (18) wins.
- Rider graduated six seniors, including Honorable Mention All-American and recent WNBA rookie Stella Johnson (Washington Mystics), who was the 2019-20 NCAA Division I scoring champion (24.8 ppg.).
- Rider's top returner is junior point guard Amanda Mobley (9.2 ppg., 5.0 apg.), a Preseason All-MAAC Second Team pick. She scored a team-high 14 points at Villanova.
- Rider and Drexel have not met since the 2004-05 season. The Dragons have a 20-9 edge in the all-time series with the Broncs.
- The Dragons are playing their season opener on Saturday. Drexel finished last season in a three-way tie for first in the CAA and was the top seed in the CAA Tournament. Drexel was picked to finish second in the CAA this season.
- The Broncs were picked seventh in the MAAC Preseason Coaches Poll.
