- Rider and Villanova have not met since the 2001-02 season. The Wildcats have won all seven meetings all-time.
- Villanova is led by 2020 Big East Rookie of the Year Maddy Siegrist, who averaged a team-best 18.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per game in 2019-20. She was named one of the Top 10 freshmen in the country by ESPN.com. Siegrist was named to the Katarina McClain Award Watch List, signifying the Top 20 power forwards in the country.
