SMITHFIELD, RI – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team defeated host Bryant, 180-119, on Saturday in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action at the Chace Athletic Center Pool.

The Broncs (5-1, 2-0 MAAC) won their fifth straight dual meet, while the Bulldogs (3-3, 1-1 MAAC) dropped their second dual meet in a row.

Rider won 10 individual events and one relay on Saturday.

Senior
Justin Carey (Landenberg, PA/Avon Grove) was dominant in the pool once again for Rider, winning three events. Carey won the 100 back (49.87), 100 free (46.68) and 100 fly (50.93).

Both sophomore
Kyle Iorizzo (Norwood, NJ/Old Tappan Regional) and freshman
Lucas Racevicius (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross High School) won a pair of events. Iorizzo was the top finisher in both the 1,000 free (9:53.61) and the 500 free (4:49.97), while Racevicius won the 200 free (1:43.69) and the 200 IM (1:54.71).

Cole May (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) finished first overall in the 200 fly with a time of 1:56.52.

Junior
Dillon Walles (The Woodlands, TX/The Woodlands High School) won both diving events. He finished first in the 1M with a score of 277.27 and he was the top finisher in the 3M with a total score of 314.65.

Rider returns to action on Friday, January 24, with a home dual meet against Lafayette that is slated to begin at 6:00 pm. Prior to the meet, the team will honor its seniors for their contributions to the program.
