Volleyball Adds Another Recruit for 2020

Molly Strah will join the Broncs next season

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University Head Volleyball Coach Jeff Rotondo has added another player for the 2020 campaign. Molly Strah will join the Broncs next season.

Molly Strah
Molly is a 5'7" libero/defensive specialist from Akron, OH. She had a stellar career at Archbishop Hoban High School where she was a three-year starter and two-year captain. She was named First Team All-Conference in 2018 and 2019, All-District Team in 2019, and was an All-Akron All-Star. She has been a starting Libero for Southwest Volleyball and Academy Cleveland, as well as earned a bid to Beach Nationals as a 16-year old. This past high school season, Molly had 341 digs and 24 aces. In addition to her athletic achievements she carries a 3.5 GPA and has accumulated over 100 hours of community service, where her school has recognized her for her service.

Rotondo on Strah
"We are excited to add another quality student-athlete to our family for 2020. We will continue to identify not only quality athletes, but also excellent students and people for our program. Molly is someone who we have been in contact with for a while and just needed to make sure all of the pieces fit for her. She is a high character individual who is involved in her school and community service initiatives. She shows great range and ball control as a Libero/DS, all while having a presence on the court. Her high school coach and club teammates have spoken highly of Molly. She comes from a wonderful family and are happy she chose our university and program to continue her future aspirations."

Why Strah chose Rider
"I am very excited to join Rider volleyball & will pursue a degree in Health Sciences. I chose Rider for its strong academic programs, comfortable family feeling I had with the team and coaches, strong culture and direction of the program, and a feeling like I fit right in from my first visit!"
