LOUDONVILLE, NY – Amanda Binder (Princeton, NJ/West Windsor Plainsboro North) and Sarah Cheverie (Calgary, Alberta, Canada/National Sport School [Montana State]) defeated Colgate's Nicole Condas and Katerina Atallah, 6-4, in Flight B as the Rider University women's tennis team opened the 2019-20 season at the Siena Invitational Friday.

Also in action were Cyd Melendez (Cayey, Puerto Rico/Colegio La Merced) and Angelica Garcia (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Academia Maria Reina), who fell to Hofstra's Maddie Brown and Jasmine King, 6-0, in Flight A. In Flight C action, Sydney Jeffrey (Port St. Lucie, FL/Lincoln Park Academy) and Lauren Dickens (Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley) were defeated by Colgate's Elizabeth Laub and Elinor Simek, 6-2.
