PRINCETON, NJ – The Rider University women's track and field team opened action at the 2019 ECAC Outdoor Championships on Saturday afternoon.
The Broncs got one All-East performance on the day.
"We had some really great performances today," Rider Head Coach
Bob Hamer said. "Pavicic ran a great race tonight. She has made so much progress over the last month in the steeple. She raced poorly at Princeton about four weeks ago and since then she has been fantastic. Unfortunately, she may miss the NCAA preliminary meet by a few seconds, but she has had a great year. Her championship races and efforts have been great and we are really proud of her progress this year."
Competing in her hometown, junior
Peri Pavicic (Princeton, NJ/Hopewell Valley Central) earned All-East honors with a sixth-place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase. Pavicic crossed the finish line at 10:30.48.
The Broncs close out the 2019 ECAC Outdoor Championships on Sunday afternoon.
