PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Rider University women's track and field team continued action at the 125th Penn Relays on Friday at Franklin Field.
On the second day of the three-day event, the Broncs got a strong performance from graduate student
Sara Gardner (Holland Township, NJ/Delaware Valley).
Gardner won her heat in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.53. She qualified for Saturday's finals with the second-fastest time amongst all participants.
"Much like yesterday it took until the end of the day for us to really have the success that we have desired," Rider Head Coach
Bob Hamer said. "Sara was really good today. She ran a clean race and it may have been the best she has looked all season. Tomorrow will be a very exciting day for her to race in the final with all of this confidence."
The Broncs conclude the Penn Relays on Saturday in Philly. The team will also send student-athletes to compete at the Lions Invitational hosted by TCNJ.
