Tomayko Earns a Silver Medal on Day One of the ECAC Championships

She finished second in the 3M diving event

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Rider University women's swimming and diving team opened action at the 2019 ECAC Championships on Friday. The three-day event takes place March 1-3, is being contested at Lejeune Hall and features 18 teams on the women's side.

Junior diver Meg Tomayko (Murfreesboro, TN/Siegel) had a strong day on the boards to earn big points for the Broncs.

"Two weeks after the MAAC Championships, Meg continues to push herself with a different field of competitors at the ECAC Championships," Rider Head Diving Coach Kristen Simms said. "She dove well today and is ready to head into the 1M tomorrow."

Tomayko came in second-place in the 3M with a silver-medal score of 260.40 in the finals.

The Broncs return to action with the second day of competition getting underway on Saturday with prelims starting in the morning.
