LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – In her final collegiate home game, senior point guard
Lexi Posset (Pittsburgh, PA/Beaver Area) scored a game-high 19 points to go along with seven rebounds to lead the Rider University women's basketball team past visiting Siena, 77-54, on Thursday evening in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action inside Alumni Gymnasium.
The Broncs (17-11, 13-4 MAAC) put an end to their two-game home losing streak with the victory and clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming MAAC Tournament, while the Saints (12-16, 8-9 MAAC) saw their two-game winning streak come to an end.
Posset was one of three Rider players to score in double figures as she knocked down seven shots from the field to go along with two assists and two steals.
The Broncs erased an early deficit by closing the opening frame on a 16-3 run over a seven-minute span. Graduate student
Mia Farmer (Philadelphia, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) capped the Rider spurt with a three-pointer to give the hosts a 20-10 advantage after 10 minutes of play.
Rider pulled away in third quarter thanks to outscoring the Saints, 25-11. Coming out of halftime, the Broncs held Siena to just 18 percent (2-of-11) to extend their lead. The Rider edge would swell to as many as 31 midway through the fourth quarter.

Lea Favre (Vevey, Switzerland, Lycee Jeanne D'Arc) and classmate
Amari Johnson (Red Lion, PA/Dallastown) were the other Broncs in double figures. Favre recorded her first career double-double thanks to an 18-point, 13-rebound effort, while Johnson poured in 16 points thanks to knocking down 11-of-12 attempts from the charity stripe. Â

Lea Favre shot 7-of-13 from the field. She tied a career-high with 13 rebounds. She also had 13 rebounds earlier this season against Vermont. It marked the eighth time this season that a Bronc has registered a double-double. Rider is 7-1 in those games.

Amari Johnson's 11 made free throws were a new career-high. She also added seven rebounds, one steal and one block.

Mia Farmer scored nine points on 4-of-6 shooting. She also registered a career-high three steals.
