What You Need To Know
- Rider opened the season with a 91-84 win at Coppin State on Tuesday.
- The Hornets lead the all-time series, 2-0. Both meetings came in 1981-82.
- Radio broadcasts for road games will once again be available this season on 107.7 The Bronc. Steve Rudenstein will have the call Friday.
- After trailing by as many as 15 points in the first half at Coppin State, Rider shot 65.5 percent in the second half to take the 91-84 victory.

Frederick Scott (21),
Dimencio Vaughn (21) and
Tyere Marshall (20) all scored at least 20 points at Coppin State. Scott and Vaughn posted double-doubles. Three Broncs hadn't scored 20 or more points since Dec. 8, 2013.
- Rider was picked to finish second in the MAAC after finishing tied for second in the regular season standings a year ago.
- The Broncs return four starters.

Dimencio Vaughn are all on pace to score their 1,000th point, and would join senior
Stevie Jordan as the 38th, 39th and 40th Broncs to score 1,000 career points.
- All four of the aforementioned returning Broncs starters were named to the Preseason All-MAAC Teams. Jordan took First Team honors, Scott and Vaughn were named to the Second Team and Marshall earned Third Team.
- Jordan also projects to be the Broncs' all-time leader in assists and steals by season's end. He currently has 479 career assists, good for fourth all-time. Deon Hames '96 is the Broncs' current all-time assists leader with 598. Meanwhile, Jordan currently has 145 steals, with Ryan Thompson '10 currently leading all Broncs with 188 career steals.
- Six of the 12 players on the Rider roster did not suit up for the Broncs last season, including three true freshmen, a redshirt freshman and redshirt sophomore who sat out and one graduate transfer.
- Eighth-year Head Coach
Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 124-104 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
