Julia Divorra (Terrassa, Spain/Vedruna Vall) scored a pair of goals and added an assist, while classmate
Carly Brosious (Drexel Hill, PA/Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast) dished out two assists go along with a goal of her own as the Rider University field hockey team defeated Merrimack, 4-2, on Friday evening on the campus of Tufts University at Ounjian Field in Northeast Conference action.

The Broncs (8-3, 2-0 NEC) won their second straight conference contest, while the Warriors (2-9, 1-1 NEC) dropped their second game in a row. Â

Divorra and Brosious scored the first two Rider markers on the day as the Broncs held a 2-1 midway through the third quarter.

With the score tied at two in the fourth quarter, Divorra gave the guests the lead for good with her second goal of the game off a feed from Brosious early in the final frame.

Later in the fourth, sophomore
Tess van Ommeren (Amsterdam, Netherlands/Sint Nicolaas Lyceum) added an insurance goal for the Broncs to stretch the Rider lead to two at 4-2.
