Lawrenceville, NJ – Junior Fidele Jules (Tinton Falls, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) of the Rider University women's track and field team was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women's Field Performer of the Week on Tuesday afternoon as announced by the league office.

Jules becomes the third Bronc to garner weekly accolades during the indoor season, joining teammate Sara Gardner (Holland Township, NJ/Delaware Valley) and Ashley Berry (Somerset, NJ/Franklin). Jules earned weekly distinction from the MAAC for the third time in her career.

"Fidele had a great weekend," Rider Head Coach Bob Hamer said. "Last year she missed a lot of time and she was not able to accomplish her goals due to injury. It has been really great to see her progress the last few weeks. She is a big time performer for the team and we need her as a key component for our success."

Jules had a strong weekend at the Penn State National Open for the Broncs. She posted a pair of ECAC-qualifying marks at the two-day event. She finished 12th in the weight throw with an ECAC-qualifying toss of 16.57m. Jules followed that up with a seventh-place result in the shot put with an ECAC-qualifying mark of 14.18m. Her throw in the shot put was the third-best by a student-athlete in the MAAC this year.

Rider returns to action on Friday, February 1, competing against neighboring TCNJ in a dual meet on the campus of Lawrenceville Prep on Route 206.
