EASTON, PA – The Rider University men's swimming and diving team closed out the dual-meet portion of their season with a 170-55 victory over host Lafayette on Saturday at Weinstein Natatorium.
The Broncs (7-1) have now won six straight dual meets.
It was a strong day for Rider as the team racked up 30 total top-three performances, highlighted by Broncs winning 11 separate events.
Freshmen
Kyle Iorizzo (Norwood, NJ/Old Tappan Regional) and
David Cooper (Spring, TX/Klein Oak) each won two individual events for the guests on Saturday. Iorizzo won both the 500 free (5:49.10) and the 1,000 free (9:44.16), while Cooper was the top-finisher in the 100 breast (1:03.07) and the 200 IM (2:04.61.).
Fellow first-year
Webster Bozzo (Christiansted, US Virgin Islands/Good Hope Country Day) had a solid day in the pool for the Broncs as well. Bozzo won the 100 back (53.50) and he landed in second-place in the 200 free (1:54.95).
Senior
Joseph Warker (Reading, PA/Wilson), the two-time reigning MAAC Men's Diver of the Week, continued his dominance winning both the 1M and the 3M on Saturday. He was tops in the 1M with a mark of 293.63 and he was first in the 3M at 288.16.
NOTES
- The meet was the final dual meet for the Broncs this season.
- Rider returns to action February 13-16, to compete in the 2019 MAAC Championship in Buffalo, New York.
- The Broncs have now won seven or more dual meets in a year in three of the last four seasons.

Cole May won the 100 fly at 50.88.

Vincent Gibbons finished first overall in the 50 free with a time of 21.37.

Daniel Bonge finished second in both the 50 free (21.59) and the 100 fly (54.39).

Dillon Walles landed in second-place in both the 1M (243.43) and 3M (281.48) diving events.

Jack Ruggieri was second in the 100 free (54.25) and he finished third in the 50 free (22.50).
