What You Need To Know
- Rider and Iona are meeting for the 64th time, with IC owning a 37-26 lead in the all-time series. Iona has won six of the last seven in New Rochelle.
- Rider is 5-0 in MAAC play for the second time in 22 years in the league. The only other instance came in 2000-01, when the Broncs won their first six. 
- The 47 points allowed to Manhattan are the fewest by an opponent in nearly four years (46 vs. Canisius - Jan. 24, 2015).
- After averaging a 12.5 points per game advantage in the paint against MAAC opponents last year, the Broncs have opened 2018-19 at +16.8 per game.
- Rider ranks 15th nationally at 8.9 steals per game. 
- The Broncs compiled season highs in points (104), points in a single half (68), field-goal percentage (.612), and single-half field-goal percentage (.737), Jan. 13 at Niagara. Six Broncs scored in double figures for the first time since Feb. 2011.  
- The Broncs have been outscored by 15 points combined in the first halves of five MAAC games. By comparison, Rider is +63 in the second halves.  
- Frederick Scott has a pair of double-doubles and is averaging a team-high 14.2 points to go along with 7.0 rebounds and 58.3 percent in five league games.
- Stevie Jordan now ranks 6th all-time in assists at Rider with 414. He's also closing in on 1,000 career points, currently standing at 909.  
- The Gaels fell at Monmouth last time out on a buzzer beater by Ray Salnave.
- E.J. Crawford leads Iona at 16.6 points per game, while Rickey McGill has contributed 15.6 points and 5.3 assists per game. Tajuan Agee (12.9 ppg., 7.3 rpg.) is the Gaels' top rebounder, while Asante Gist (12.3 ppg.) also averages in double-figures scoring.
- Rider was picked to win the MAAC after earning the 2017-18 MAAC Regular Season Championship.
- The Broncs returned all five starters, their top six scorers and 95 percent of their scoring from last year's team.
- Seventh-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 117-96 record. Baggett won MAAC Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2018.
