WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Rider University men's and women's swimming and diving teams start the second semester of action on Tuesday, January 15, with a dual meet against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and hOURglass rival Monmouth.

- The men enter the meet with a record of 4-1 overall and 1-0 in conference duals after defeating Marist in mid-October. The women have an overall mark of 2-4 overall and 1-1 versus MAAC opponents.

- On the women's side, freshman Caylie Cardona was tabbed as the MAAC Women's Swimmer of the Week in early December. She set a new program record in the 200 breast with a time of 2:22.27. Also on the women's side, Kylie McMahon has been named the MAAC Women's Swimmer of the Week three times this season and junior Meg Tomayko has once been honored as the MAAC Women's Diver of the Week.

- On the men's side, sophomore Dillon Walles has been honored as the MAAC Men's Diver of the Week a conference-best four times this season and junior Justin Carey has once been recognized as the MAAC Men's Swimmer of the Week.

- Several women have the top times in the MAAC this season in events. Cardona has the fastest-mark in the league this year in the 100 breast at 1:05.13. The Broncs have been impressive in the 50 back as they own the top-three times. Taylor Stalnaker has the quickest time at 26.18 followed by Kayla May (26.82) and Maeve Lersch (26.91). The trio are the only swimmers to break 27 seconds in the event in the MAAC this year.

- A handful of student-athletes on the men's side own the best times in the MAAC in several events this season. Junior Justin Carey has the top time in the MAAC in the 50 back (22.16), 100 back (47.96 as part of a relay), 200 back (1:48.16) and 100 fly (48.29). His time in the 50 back is the fastest by over a second and his mark in the 100 back is the quickest by nearly three seconds. Vincent Gibbons own the best time in the MAAC in the 50 free at 20.37, while David Cooper has the top time in the 200 breast at 2:05.20. Kyle Iorizzo and Lucas Musselman have the top times in their events, the 1650 free and the 200 IM, respectively, by over a second.

- In last season's meeting, the women scored a 155-50 triumph over the Hawks and the men defeated Monmouth by the same exact score.
