LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL – Rider University men's golf freshman
Austin Devereux (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan) finished eight over for the tournament to place tied for sixth and earn All-MAAC honors as the Rider University men's golf team placed fourth at the MAAC Championships Sunday. Rider improved in all three rounds on the weekend, finishing with a final-round 298, the Broncs' ninth round under 300 for the year.
After struggling in the first two rounds, sophomore
Jake Sollon (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) finished strong with a two-under 70 on Sunday, the Broncs' lowest round of the tournament. Devereux and
Eder Moreno (Madrid, Spain/Lander/Santa Helena) both carded 75's, while
Andrew Forjan (York, PA/York Catholic) finished his tournament with an 82.
Thomas Durkin (Suffield, CT/Suffield) shot 78 on the day.
Iona won the MAAC Championship with a three-round score of 895, two strokes ahead of Siena (897). Manhattan (902), Rider (908), Canisius (910), Monmouth (913), Saint Peter's (920), Fairfield (925) and Niagara (953) rounded out the leaderboard. Siena's Michael Christifulli was the medalist, shooting a two-over 218 for the championship.

- Rider posted the second-best score on the Par 4's (+50), tied with Iona a stroke back of Manhattan (+49).
- Rider had the third-most birdies for the tournament with 33.
- Devereux posted the third-best score on both the Par 3's (E) and Par 4's (+7). Moreno matched him on the Par 4's.
- Moreno's nine birdies were third-most in the tournament.
- Devereux's 35 pars were the fifth-most.

Drew Guarino (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) and
Forrest Swisher (Titusville, NJ/Hopewell Valley Central) earned Academic All-MAAC honors with GPA's above 3.2.
