LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Amanda Binder (Princeton, NJ/West Windsor Plainsboro North), Caitlin Gardner (Fishers, IN/Fishers) and Montana Morris (Horsham, PA/Hatsboro-Horsham) each won at both singles and doubles as the Rider University women's tennis team defeated Coppin State, 5-2, Saturday afternoon. With the wins, the Broncs improve to 2-10, while the Eagles are now 3-3.

Rider took the doubles point on the strength of wins at Nos. 2 and 3. Gardner and Binder paired on a 6-4 win over Precious Udofe and Shariah Dunwell at No. 2, while Morris and Danielle Scrudato (Califon, NJ/Voorhees) cruised past Ajla Hrnjic and Tanna Nita, 6-1, at No. 3.

The Eagles would take the top two singles flights, but Rider won at Nos. 3-6 to clinch the victory. Morris's 6-0, 6-0, win over Nitta at No. 6 served as the clinching point. Gardner got past Dunwell at No. 3 in three sets, 6-1, 2-6, 6-2, while Binder defeated Hrnjic, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4. Sydney Jeffrey (Port St. Lucie, FL/Lincoln Park Academy) also earned a 6-3, 6-0, victory over Udofe at No. 5.

The Broncs return to action Monday, when they play host to Loyola (Md.) at 2 p.m.
