What You Need To Know
- Rider and Manhattan are meeting for the 52nd time, with the Broncs owning a 28-23 lead in the all-time series. Rider has won six of the last eight, including the last three.
- Rider has won a season-high six-straight games, its first six-game winning streak since 2014-15. The last time the Broncs had a streak of as many as seven games came in 2007-08, when they won 10 straight.
- At 10-2 in the MAAC, the Broncs matched the 2007-08 squad for the quickest to 10 wins in 21 years in the league.
- Rider is currently No. 65 in the RPI (as of Feb. 5), its highest ranking of the year.
- Dimencio Vaughn scored the game-winning tip-in with 8.5 seconds left at Fairfield. RU ended the game on an 8-0 run. Vaughn's lay-up, steal and two free throws with 1:18 left gave RU a lead it wouldn't relinquish against Saint Peter's.
- Frederick Scott was named to the Lou Henson Award mid-season Watch List. The award is presented to the nation's top Division I mid-major player.
- Stevie Jordan has been solid all-around (13.0 ppg, 6.2 apg, 4.1 rpg and 1.7 spg).
- Manhattan stopped a three-game losing streak Friday with a 51-47 win at Siena.
- Preseason All-MAAC Second Team selection Rich Williams has led Manhattan at 13.6 ppg. Zane Waterman (10.7 ppg.), Pauly Paulicap (9.6 ppg.), Zavier Turner (9.3 ppg.), Calvin Crawford (8.5 ppg.) and Aaron Walker, Jr. (8.2 ppg.) give the Jaspers depth.
- Sixth-year Head Coach Kevin Baggett's teams have posted a 102-86 record and reached the MAAC Quarterfinals in each of his first five seasons. Baggett was the 2015 MAAC Coach of the Year.
